The owners
Tessa and Joseph Stremel
Tessa and Joseph Stremel own and run Flathead Valley Roofing. It's a husband-and-wife owned local business, and they live and work right here in the Flathead Valley. When you call, you reach them — not a call center.
Joseph started roofing at seventeen and has twenty-five years in the trade. He brings that experience to every estimate, repair, and replacement. You're getting hands that have done this work through plenty of Montana winters.
Flathead Valley Roofing was established in 2021. The company is young, but the hands on your roof are not — Joseph's twenty-five years stand behind every job.
Why we do what we do
Why We Do What We Do
At Flathead Valley Roofing, we believe roofing is about more than shingles, metal, and flashing. It's about protecting the homes, businesses, and investments that matter most to our customers.
Every roof has a story, and every customer deserves to be treated with honesty, respect, and professionalism. We believe strong customer relationships are built through clear communication, dependable service, and quality workmanship — not high-pressure sales or shortcuts.
Whether we're completing a small repair, performing a roof inspection, or installing a brand-new roofing system, we approach every project with the same attention to detail and care we would expect for our own property.
Our goal isn't simply to complete another roofing project. It's to build lasting relationships, earn our customers' trust, and be the roofing company people confidently recommend to their family, friends, and neighbors.
We don't just build roofs. We build trust.
Proudly Serving the Flathead Valley.
The Flathead Valley Roofing Promise
How we treat your roof, and you
Five things you can count on from the first call to the final walkthrough.

Every project is completed with attention to detail and pride in our craft.
Clear Communication
We'll keep you informed from your first estimate through the completion of your project.
Respect for Your Property
Daily cleanup, protected landscaping, and a magnet sweep for nails before we leave.
Built on Trust
We live and work here. Our relationship doesn't end when the roof is finished.
That's the standard on every job we take on. Request a quote to see it for yourself.
Credentials
What we are — and what we're not
Montana does not license or test roofing contractors for competency. Joseph holds an active Montana Independent Contractor Exemption Certificate for Construction and Roofing, ICP-ICEC-REG-0089619, valid through December 2027. That is a state registration, not a skills qualification — and we'd rather tell you what it is than let it sound like more than it is.
Where we work
